Innovative minds require a healthy dose of physical activity according to John Ratey, a psychiatrist at Harvard Medical School and author of Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and Brain. "Exercise is the single best thing you can do for your brain in terms of mood, memory, and learning." He goes on to say that "even ten minutes of activity changes you brain." Amazingly enough we fail to reap the benefits of cardiovascular and physical activity because we claim that we are too busy. But in doing so, we are actually being detrimental to our health!
