A Promise

I stumbled across this picture and caption and I just had to share. I was delighted by the simplicity...Love is a promise...a promise of all the little things! 

 "i will kill the spiders. i will share my fries with you when you’ve finished all yours and are still hungry. i won’t ever pop my collar. i will never be rude to your tummy- when i hear it growl and gurgle, i promise to bend down and reply respectfully. i will eat the mushrooms when we order the supreme pizza. i will kiss the papercuts. and the door-slammed finger. and the counter-bumped hip. i’ll try my hardest not to get annoyed when you whisper questions and comments during movies. i will be the big spoon. i will let you win at wrestling. sometimes. other times i will not. i will go faster. harder. i will pull when you want. and tease you when you don’t. i will send you random txts and leave you silly gifts. not always. not on schedule. just whenever i want to. whenever i think you need one. or seven. i will check your tire pressure. and remind you to take your car in. i will hold your hand. i will love you. i will love you. i will love you." 

AND WITH THAT....Here is my promise to my love:

"I will be your girl. And only YOUR girl. I will never lie, cheat, or steal from you. I will be your shoulder when you need someone to lean on. I will be that hug at the end of a hard day; the person to open your beer. I will rub your feet and scratch your back. I will cook your favorite meals && breakfast in bed. I will text you to remind you that you are on my mind. I will laugh with you, possibly at you. But only in good fun. I will smile when you try to cheer me up. At times I will be hard to handle. I will be angry for no reason. But I will be smart enough to know when to apologize. I will support you. I will kiss you. I will be your voice of reason. I will try not to upset you. I will hold your hand through the ups and the downs. I will be your girl. And only your girl. I will love you. I will love you, always. "
